Bertha
Bertha is one of only five German steam locomotives ever to be imported to New Zealand and the smallest 3’6” locomotive to ever have been used in the country. I was a member of the team that undertook a complete overhaul of this locomotive. This multi-year effort culminated with a restored Bertha rejoining the MOTAT fleet.
