Warman Competition

The Weir-Warman competition is an annual robotics contest held between Mechanical Engineering students from across Oceania.

In 2025, the competition brief was to design, assemble and program an autonomous robot capable of collecting tennis balls, crossing a ramp and depositing its payload.

In a team of four we undertook this project, using Solidworks, Arduino micro-controllers and a suite of laser cutters and 3D printers at our disposal to realise our design.
