Hello, Bonjour, Kia Ora.

I’m Max Tunnicliffe, a third-year mechanical engineering student at the University of Canterbury in Christchurch New Zealand.

I like to think I’m curious, creative and ambitious, with a versatile and growing skill set.  I am as at home writing code and rendering digital designs as I am with an welder or lathe. I am bilingual in English and French. My experience spans robotics and machine design at university, to the careful restoration of vintage locomotives and aircraft at a museum where I volunteer.

This website serves as a portfolio to document my projects over the years, from complex engineering problems to more artistic passion projects. Each one is a demonstration of the range of workshop, design, and problem-solving skills that I continue to develop and love putting into practice.
