Bearing Housing
A major university project in early 2026, was to design a bearing housing for a rotating axle. The design had to comply with relevant standards, and was developed from the ground up using Shigley’s mechanical engineering design.
Aluminium Truss
Another project in 2026 was to design, build, and test and aluminium truss that could withstand a given applied load. The final design of the truss was driven by tensile material testing and the practical limitations of working with sheet aluminium.
